Clean SMARTS Master Class Competition Winner

Arian Gutierrez, a 7th Grade student at Lorenzo De Zavala Middle School, was named as the winner of the "Clean SMARTS Master Class Competition" on Wednesday, May 26.

Arian Gutierrez, a 7th Grade student at Lorenzo De Zavala Middle School, was named as the winner of the “Clean SMARTS Master Class Competition” on Wednesday, May 26. Arian not only conceptualized a new sanitization product to slow the spread of COVID, but also created a working prototype! Arian’s hard work and vision earned him this prestigious award.
 
NPI, with the support of La Joya ISD, planned and executed a celebration in recognition of this award, with visits from Texas Workforce Commission Commissioner and Clean SMARTS Expert, Aaron Demerson, NPI Director and Clean SMARTS Expert, Dr. Sean McDeavitt, NPI Associate Director, Dr. Valerie G. Segovia, SecureAmerica Institute Executive Director of Manufacturing Initiatives and Clean SMARTS Expert, Rob Gorham, among many others.
