NPI is hosting our 2022 Clean SMARTS Masterclass Finale Competition!! This competition is open to all Texas 6th – 12th-grade secondary students and educators who have completed the Clean SMARTS Master Class and received an official certificate of completion.

On March 5, 2022, NPI supported the first Rio Grande Valley Science on Saturday (SOS) event, hosted by the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen.

The Nuclear Power Institute (NPI) and the Rio Grande Valley Science Association (RGVSA) would like to invite you to participate in Science on Saturday (SOS) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 5, 2022, at the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen.

On Wednesday, November 10th, all 53 of the Palacios Junior High WIT Jr members took a trip to the beautiful Texas A&M Galveston campus!

On Saturday, October 23rd, NPI held its first Science on Saturday of the academic year at Wharton County Junior College. There were science experiments, hands-on activities and demonstrations, raffles, goodie bags, and lots of STEM!

On Saturday, August 28, the Nuclear Power Institute (NPI) partnered with Wharton County Junior College (WCJC) to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Nuclear Engineering & Science Center (NESC) TRIGA reactor with the “Nuclear Power, Process, and Manufacturing Technology Workshop for STEM Educators”.

The Nuclear Power Institute (NPI), Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen, the Rio Grande Valley Science Association, and the NASA Texas Space Grant Consortium are beginning collaboration discussions about hosting a Science on Saturday (SOS) event on Saturday, March 5, 2022.
